I had been told I would need to leave my keys for the duration, but in fact I parked my car and kept them. The parking space was a bit of a challenge due to angles, but fortunately on my return the space in front was free so I was able to drive straight out. The bus was there when I arrived, so no waiting. On return I called the driver and he was there in the time stated and took me straight back (I was the only pax) Very simple, provided you leave plenty of time for a potential delay at the checkin/parking and the drive to the airport drop off..

Easy to drive to, guys were friendly and helpful. Bus takes about 5 mins to get to airport. Drop off is 2 mins walk under cover to airport terminal.. phoned when collecting luggage on way home. Bus was waiting at same place. Dropped off and in my car in less than 30 seconds. Would also state was the cheapest of the airport car parks in the area and bus was clean.

Booked this in December, yet drove over three hours down to be told you guys hadn’t passed on my booking to the flying scotsman car parking and I wouldn’t be able to park! And this problem hasn’t just affected me.

Arrived at 2am and the attendant was very offhand. Told me to keep my keys (clearly stated they would keep them secure) Upon return I called the number stated to be informed that the mail box was full. Headed to bus stop and thankfully there was a bus loading. Back at the parking I dealt with another very offhand employee. No directions how to exit in a very busy and cramped parking lot. Really poor Edinburgh! The Glasgow Flying Scot is a far poor pleasant and professionally run team.

Arrival procedure for Edinburgh Flying Scot Park & Ride
On arrival simply park up and proceed to reception to give the details of your booking. Transfers to the airport are by courtesy shuttle taking approx 3 minutes, running at 15 minute intervals.
Return procedure
After you have collected you luggage and cleared customs please use the Flying Scot Courtesy phones inside the baggage reclaim (or at the main front doors) and use the Freephone number printed on the boards to call and advise the car park that you are ready for collection.
Make your way out to stand 5 in the coach park (where you were dropped off).
The buses will collect you there and take you back to your car.
Security
The Flying Scot car park is manned 24 Hours a day, has a CCTV system and Flood Lighting.
Overview
Flying Scot operates a convenient Park and Ride service which is located just on the outskirts of Edinburgh Airport.
Simply drive to the car park, park up and then head to the nearby reception area to present your booking confirmation.
You will then be taken to the airport terminal by the courtesy transfer bus, which takes just 3 minutes.
The Edinburgh Flying Scot park and ride car park benefits from electrified perimeter fencing, 24-hour security patrols, CCTV, security lighting and barriers.
Important Information
Car cleaning & valet service available on request when you arrive at the car park.
Steps must be used to access the minibus.
Vans, long wheel based or commercial vehicles are not accepted.
You are required to leave your keys.
